When I go to the craft store with my wife, I just look at the colors and imagine what would look good on a car. Definitely digging the idea of the seafoam green on a Paseo wagon.

back when I was a lot more serious about building model cars, I was regularly buying nail polish left and right. ‘cos for a long time it was the only economical way to get exotic colors in small quantities.
of course, that was after learning how to prime and seal the plastic so the hot solvents in nail polish wouldn’t melt the shit out of it.

Metal can take pretty much anything so long as you use a compatible primer. Plastic models (usually polystyrene) hate paints with hot solvents.
